The Village Privacy Policy
Version 2026-07-06. This policy explains the information Village may use to provide the daily digest and planner experience.
Information You Enter
Village may store profile fields such as name, email, address, city, state, ZIP code, feed choices, YouTube channel URLs, stock symbols, and planner items you create or save.
Planner Items
Saved planner items may include title, date, time, category, location, notes, source link, and reminder preference. These are used to show calendar items, maps, and local notifications.
Camera and Photo Use
If you scan an invite or use a photo, Village may process the image on device to extract text and suggest planner fields. Review extracted details before saving.
External Services
Village may request information from third-party feed and data services, including weather, RSS/news feeds, YouTube, stock quote providers, and map links. Those providers may receive technical request information under their own policies.
Local Storage and Sync
Prototype builds may store settings and planner data locally on the device. Future versions may add Firebase or cloud caching for faster daily feed loading, if enabled.
Your Choices
You can change feed settings, remove saved planner items, disable notifications, and update profile information inside the app.
