Privacy at a glance
LifeTrax is a personal timeline and wellness visualization app. It does not require a LifeTrax account, sell personal information, serve targeted advertising, or track you across other companies’ apps and websites. Your LifeTrax timeline is stored locally on each device and does not currently sync between devices.
Information you create
Information you choose to save may include moment titles and notes, dates and times, categories, goals, reminder choices, wellness check-ins, manually entered weight, optional coordinates and place names, calendar links, favorites, and photos or other media selected for a place or background. LifeTrax stores this information in its local app storage on the device.
Apple Health
With your permission, LifeTrax reads selected Apple Health information to display your private dashboard, trends, and goal progress. The current version requests read access to activity energy, exercise time, stand time, steps, resting heart rate, weight, VO2 max, cycling distance, sleep analysis, and activity summaries.
LifeTrax does not write to Apple Health in the current version. Health information is not used for advertising, sold, or sent to a developer-operated server. Apple controls Health authorization, and you can change access in the Health app or system Settings.
Optional Fitbit connection
If you choose to configure and connect Fitbit, LifeTrax communicates directly with Fitbit’s authorization and API services. It requests the profile, activity, heart-rate, sleep, and weight scopes shown by Fitbit. Fitbit may return your display name, steps, active minutes, calories, sleep minutes, resting heart rate, weight, and synchronization time.
Fitbit client credentials and access tokens are stored in the device Keychain. A recent Fitbit summary is stored locally so the app can display it. LifeTrax does not route Fitbit data through a developer-operated LifeTrax server. Fitbit handles information under its own terms and privacy policy. You can disconnect in LifeTrax and revoke access in Fitbit settings.
Calendar
If you use calendar features, LifeTrax may read calendars you select and add or update events you direct it to place in Apple Calendar. Calendar identifiers may be stored with a LifeTrax moment so the items can remain associated. Apple controls Calendar permission, which you can change in system Settings.
Location, maps, and place names
When you choose to attach a place, LifeTrax may request your approximate current location while the app is in use. It may use Apple location and geocoding services to obtain coordinates or a place name and Apple Maps to display saved places. Saved coordinates and place names remain in the local timeline unless you export or share them yourself.
Photos and media
The system photo picker lets you choose images for backgrounds or saved places. LifeTrax copies the selected items into its local app storage for the feature you requested. The developer does not receive those images.
Screen Time
If you choose to connect Screen Time, LifeTrax uses Apple’s Family Controls and Device Activity frameworks to request authorization and display private reports. Apple provides and protects this information through its managed frameworks. LifeTrax does not upload Screen Time reports to a developer-operated server.
Notifications and device preferences
If enabled, LifeTrax schedules local notifications for capture, wellness, goal-review, or event reminders. Appearance, source, reminder, and interface preferences are stored locally. The app may use Apple-managed secure or shared storage needed by its Screen Time report extension.
Service providers and disclosure
LifeTrax uses Apple platform services and, only when you choose the optional connection, Fitbit services. Information is disclosed to those providers only as needed for the feature you request or when required by law, to protect users or the service, or to complete an action you initiate. LifeTrax does not include third-party advertising SDKs or developer-operated behavioral analytics.
Retention and deletion
Local data remains on a device until you delete individual items, reset the relevant feature, or delete LifeTrax and its local data. Deleting LifeTrax does not delete source information held by Apple Health, Calendar, Photos, Screen Time, Apple Maps, or Fitbit. You can separately revoke those permissions and connections in the provider’s settings.
Security
LifeTrax relies on Apple’s platform security and permission controls. Fitbit credentials and tokens are stored in the device Keychain. No storage method can be guaranteed completely secure, so protect your device passcode and do not share Fitbit credentials or exported personal information.
Children and medical information
LifeTrax is not directed to children under 13 and does not knowingly collect children’s personal information. LifeTrax is designed for personal organization and wellness awareness; it is not a medical device and does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as LifeTrax changes. The effective date above identifies the latest version.
